Windfarms, tourism and healthcare highlighted as election issues
Manx Radio visits constituency of Arbory, Castletown and Malew. Residents in Arbory, Castletown and Malew have highlighted proposed windfarm plans, tourism and health as areas of concern ahead of the General Election. The Island will go to the polls on 24 September to elect 24 MHKs to the House of Keys.

Firefighters warn over controlled blazes following Peel fireFirefighters spent more than four hours dealing with a fire on Peel Golf Course yesterday. Windy conditions saw a controlled burn spread out of control into a large area of gorse, sparking the alert at around 1pm. Overhead electrical wires and pylons had to be isolated by Manx Utilities workers while fire crews used offroad vehicles and a water relay to bring the blaze under control. |
