3FM · Health15:20 Tynwald approves extra £19 million for Department of Health and Social Care • Tynwald members have voted to give the Department of Health and Social Care an extra £19 million to meet a budget shortfall this year. • Health Minister Claire Christian asked for the cash to cover a £4.1 million overspend by her department and an overrun of £14.9 million at Manx Care. • A number of Tynwald members were sharply critical of both organisations during the debate.

3FM · Health16:00 Injured TT newcomer home from hospital • A TT competitor who was badly injured during a crash at this year's festival has returned home. • Gary McCoy from Cookstown was treated at Noble’s Hospital before being flown to Liverpool after the incident in the Supersport race. • On his team’s Facebook page, he says after a CT scan showed his five fractured vertabrae and shoulder blade were stable, he was given the all-clear to get the ferry home.

3FM · Health08:53 Decision next week on plans for temporary hospital buildings • Plans to set up mobile buildings for a renal unit at Ramsey Cottage Hospital will be decided next week. • Manx Care says they’d only be there for two years, or until dialysis services can return to the hospital itself. • The hospital on Cumberland Road has been going through a lengthy programme of renovation, and is now in the process of reopening.

IoM Today · Law14:39 Angler fined for fishing at Onchan reservoir without a licence • The Douglas man had to pay up £350 as well as court costs. • The Douglas man was also ordered to pay costs at Douglas courthouse earlier this month after admitting fishing at Kerrowdhoo Reservoir without a licence in March. • The Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture (DEFA) is reminding anglers that a valid licence is required to fish in the Isle of Man’s reservoirs and rivers.

3FM · Island News10:04 Fundraiser launched for 12 year old injured in TT hit-and-run • A taxi driver from the UK who was injured along with his 12 year old son in a hit-and-run incident in TT has launched an online fundraiser to take his boy on holiday. • Glen Campbell was riding through the Mountain Mile on Tuesday, May 26 at around 80mph when another rider clipped his bike and rode off - fortunately he and his suffered only relatively minor injuries.

3FM · Culture06:41 Hotel demolition was allowed without permission over danger • The Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture says it allowed the Castletown Golf Links Hotel to be demolished without planning permission because the building was dangerous. • A Freedom of Information request asked about the Fort Island work, claiming it would affect birds such as Choughs, Wagtails and Sparrows. • In response, the department confirmed no planning permission had been granted to pull down the hotel - which closed in 2007.
