Racing circuit to get safety upgrade

• A racing circuit in the north of the Island is going to get new safety protection.
• Jurby Circuit will get an additional 40 safety barriers and will replace 46 barrier covers.
• Andreas Racing Association say the new equipment will give better protection around the track.

3FM · Island News · 07:56 Reservoir project behind schedule • A project to install a pipe to West Baldwin Reservoir will not be completed on time, according to Manx Utilities. • The organisation says the delay is due to the discovery of previously unmapped services within the nearby roadway. • Manx Utilities says the West Baldwin Siphon project is five weeks behind schedule but will remain within its expected £1.4 million budget.

IoM Today · Island News · 05:00 Isle of Man charity awarded almost £35,000 to upgrade headquarters • Sight Matters is set to improve the energy efficiency and reliability of its Corrin Court headquarters after receiving almost £35,000 in funding. • A £34,950 grant from the Dormant Assets Fund will allow the charity to replace its ageing boiler system with modern, high-efficiency condensing boilers. • The work will also include new flue systems, upgraded pipework, system filtration and improved heating controls.
