Isle of Man TT 2026: Postponed winner's enclosure scene of Hollywood film rescheduled

• It was originally meant to be filmed on Thursday afternoon.
• The Amazon MGM Studios production, titled Isle of Man, had encouraged islanders and TT fans to appear as extras in a large crowd scene due to be filmed at the Winner’s Enclosure near the end of pit lane on Thursday.
• However, the shoot was postponed due to operational reasons.

3FM · Island News10:00 Company behind major redevelopment plans applies to dissolve • The company which first mooted plans for a huge city centre redevelopment in Douglas has applied for dissolution. • Last year, Wyyttavin Limited applied for permission to build the 12-story complex containing flats, shops, a cinema on the former bus station site. • However, it dropped its plans after a family bereavement, and the scheme was taken up by Lord Street Development SPV Limited.

3FM · Island News13:00 Local authority to investigate asbestos claims • Commissioners in Garff have asked the clerk to look into allegation asbestos is leaking into waterways in Laxey. • At its last meeting, the local authority heard allegations footpaths in Laxey Glen were closed because of the chemical. • The Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture says it fenced off three routes because of unsafe paths.

3FM · Culture08:00 Grandstand to close for major event this weekend • The Department of Infrastructure says one of the biggest public events of the TT festival will see part of the main road past the grandstand closed for two hours. • The TT Legacy Lap will be led by women for the first time this year, in conjunction with the Women Riders World Relay. • Glencrutchery Road’s southbound lane will shut from Victoria Road to St Ninian’s crossroads from 8.30am until 10.30am on Sunday, May 31.

IoM Today · Transport07:00 Driver caught uninsured while moving car across road • Police stopped the 21-year-old after seeing the vehicle being driven. • Twenty-one-year-old Matthew Young was spoken to by police at Balthane Park in Ballasalla, after they saw him driving a BMW 318. • The owner was also present and said they’d given Young permission to drive the car, however, he wasn’t insured to drive it.
