Emergency mental health service gets 2,000 calls a month

• The health minister says the emergency mental health service gets around 2,000 calls a month.
• Claire Christian gave figures in response to a Tynwald question for written reply from Douglas East MHK Joney Faragher.
• She also said the Crisis Response and Home Treatment Team received 1,906 referrals over the past year.

3FM · Transport16:12 Another TT ferry set to be delayed today • There's been another ferry delay for this evening, according to the Steam Packet. • The Manannan’s 7.15pm crossing from Liverpool to Douglas is now due to arrive late - after two services were also delayed earlier today, Thursday, June 6. • It’s scheduled to set off at 9.15pm instead.

3FM · Business07:50 Planners to consider car firm's showroom plans for Ramsey Bakery • Planners will consider proposals to turn part of a huge site in Ramsey into a car showroom next week. • The planning committee is due to sit on Monday, June 8 - and will look at an application to transform part of the former Ramsey Bakery on Station Road. • Car company Motor X, based in the town, wants to turn two units into sales space.

IoM Today · Law14:54 Police found man hiding behind wardrobe after report of disturbance • He assaulted an officer after refusing the leave the property. • Lucas Wood, of Primrose Avenue, will be sentenced on June 18 after a probation report has been prepared. • Magistrates heard that police were called to a flat in Ramsey on April 28, after a report of a disturbance.

IoM Today · Law14:48 Van was found with 29 defects after being stopped by police • It was untaxed as well as being in a dangerous condition. • Matthew Talbot, of Cronk Grianagh Estate, Douglas, also had his licence endorsed with three points. • Magistrates heard that the defendant was stopped by police on Ballaoates Road in Douglas, on February 6, while driving a Mercedes Sprinter van.
