Changes to some health services during Manx Grand Prix and Classic TT period

• Manx Care has outlined changes to some of its services during the Manx Grand Prix period, with residents and visitors advised where to seek care if they need medical support.
• The Emergency Department at Noble’s Hospital will continue to operate as normal throughout the Manx Grand Prix, which runs from Sunday, August 16 to Friday, August 28.

IoM Today · Health · 12:58 Drug-driver’s community service scrapped due to ill health • He has instead been handed a new 12-month probation order. • A drug-driving motorist who has been unable to complete community service due to ill health has been re-sentenced to probation. • Ross O’Neill was originally sentenced to 150 hours’ community service and 12 months probation last November.

3FM · Politics · 10:04 Nearly £42k in government backing for buy local schemes • Enterprise Minister Tim Johnston says his department has backed buy local schemes to the tune of almost £42,000 this year. • He faced the final question for written answer of this parliament, when Arbory, Castletown and Malew MHK Jason Moorhouse asked about support for schemes encouraging people to spend in Manx shops. • Mr Johnston said there wasn’t one over-arching initiative, but three had so far been held this year.
