Emergency services called out to single vehicle incident on Billown Circuit. A vehicle is said to have rolled ’several times’ during a crash in the south of the Island last night. Fire crews from Castletown and Malew Fire Station were called out to the incident near Joey’s Corner on the Billown Circuit at around 10:30pm.

Fire service's warning after second gorse fire this week

The fire and rescue service is again warning about the dangers of gorse fires after a blaze at the Point of Ayre yesterday evening. It comes after the gorse fire on Peel Golf Course earlier this week - firefighters say the shrubs can easily ignite in the warmer and drier weather.
