THE REMOTES WORLD TOUR!

Our band, The Remotes, completed the first stop of our 2024 World Tour on August 18, 2024. At this point, it’s the only stop but hey, you gotta start somewhere.

The preparation and buildup to the Tour, along with performance pictures and videos, is shown here.

RETURN TO HIGH SCHOOL READING ASSIGNMENTS

Like most of you, we had certain assigned books to read in high school. The only Hemingway novel that I recall reading was “The Old Man and The Sea”. When I found a copy of “For Whom The Bell Tolls” in my local bookstore, at a sale price, I had to pick it up since I didn’t recall ever reading that one. I hadn’t. My impressions are noted here.

I FOUND SOME MORE CAT STATUES!

Last month I reported on cat statues popping up around town. Since then, I’ve stumbled across 9 more, two of which I’ve shown below. You can see all of the cat statue photos in the blog post.

book cover for the book Artificial Intelligence by Melanie Mitchell
Highly recommended!

It seems as though every day there is something in the news about companies adopting AI technology into their systems, or concerns about AI overreach or errors, and so on. I decided to educate myself and I found a wonderful introductory book. I’m sure that I’ll continue to learn more about this emergent technology so look for future updates
