Well, this is new!
This is the first edition of Modern Technology Emails, a newsletter via the good old-fashioned vibe of email from Rob Vincent and Gila Drazen, the people behind the Modern Technology Podcast Network.
In this newsletter there’s no tracking, no analytics, no paid ads, no referrer codes, no junk. We’re just not about that sort of thing, as those who have read our site’s privacy policy know. Apart from the minimal branding added by our list service provider Buttondown (who seem to have the right idea about not being crappy) there will be no content here other than what we’re directly writing and sharing with you, and there will be no reuse of your email address for any reason other than to send you this newsletter.
What will this list’s content be like? Well, we’ll all find out together!
This newsletter has been started as an excuse to finally delete our presence on Twitter, which was never all that active as these things go but which did serve as a useful place to share our work and connect with folks back in the old days. The worse things got over there on Twitter, the less inclined we were to keep using it. Going back to the tried and true listserv model gives us a lot more freedom to share what we’re up to in a more intimate and safe setting for us and for you. We’ll post here when we release episodes, and also use this space to share some bonus stuff from behind the scenes of our podcasts as well as other cool things we’re working on outside the Network, and we’ll see where it goes from there.
Sit back, relax, whitelist our newsletter’s sender email address in your filters, and prepare to put some stuff in your eyes and ears!
