Even more handmade gifts, and January classes

Miriam standing behind a table full of pottery – mugs and jars and vases with flowers and pour-overs and ramen bowls and a large white and blue and pink stanley-cup style lidded vessel
The Tranley™ always draws the most attention

Last week we had a holiday market at Kinship Studio – where I’m a member and teach wheel-throwing. I’ll be teaching the Tuesday night class in January, if you’re near Denver and interested! Registration will be available by the end of the week.

Pieces sold well! But there’s still a number of items available – and if you order soon, I’ll do my best to ship asap.

Here are a few items to consider…

Six tumblers with a rounded base, textured specked inward-sloping sides, and colorful glazed rims in blue green and red
Colorful tumblers – get a set of 4 for $100

A stack of dark-brown clay tumblers with blue or white glazed rims, inward-sloping textured walls, and a rounded base with a foot ring
Trans crime tumblers – if you’re going to have a gender, make it a criminal gender!

Inverted hollow cone shapes piercing a wide flat base that fits over one of the tumblers - for brewing pour-over coffee with a v60 filter
v60-style pour-over coffee makers – in colors that match various tumblers!

two jars with textured blue sides and cream colored lids
A variety of butter bells to keep your butter cool and fresh and soft without refrigeration

The classic stanley cup form, with a car cup-holder friendly base and wider top - but this one is a white porcelain, with subtle pink and blue decorations and a three-pronged transgender symbol with the word TRANLEY written underneath
The worlds first Tranley Cup (or vase?)

There’s plenty more to choose from – including funky vases, a dice-rolling tray for nerdy games, a ceramic wine goblet, and more. Don’t forget to use the discount codes ‘15-OFF’, ‘30-OFF’, or ‘45-OFF’ if you need them.

It’s only functional artwork if someone puts it to use!

Commissions

I’ve also started taking commissions, which is my favorite approach to sales. I’m working on some tumblers with custom lettering, a porcelain salt-and-pepper set, and a kitchen utensil jar. The wine glass above was also inspired by a commission.

Ideally you tell me what you need, and anything essential about the design or color scheme – and I’ll let you know if I can do it. Pieces generally take about a month from start to finish. Let me know if you’re interested!

I hope you all have a lovely holiday 🥰
