⏰ Time Machine

Making Me Nervous:

“Is that a hard drive spinning up in the intro?”

It was 20 years ago this month when Canadian indie musician and MeFite frenetic (know professionally as Brad Sucks) uploaded this track to Music, and two years since it was used in a Lexus commercial.

Just Like Pigses At Black Masses

“Generals gathered in their masses
Just like witches at black masses”

In 2018, MetaFilter took on Black Sabbath’s War Pigs in a post from I’m always feeling, Blue. Mefites shared more than twenty covers of the anti-war anthem, ranging from Ruthie Foster’s Delta Blues version to the Estonian early music band Rondellus’ tribute in Latin, with many metal, punk and rock stops in between. #WebComics

“I've really been digging the recent steady stream of good webcomics being posted on the main page, and when I hit the webcomics tag, it looks like it's mostly one person posting them.”

There are over 300 posts to the blue tagged with #webcomic, the very first posted in 1999. In more recent history, many have been shared by member Lorc, but over the decades members have curated a rich vein of web comic goodness. [Hat tip: Shepherd]
