You’re early. Here’s what we’re watching for you.
What we watch, when you’ll hear from us, and why a quiet ending is a good outcome.
You’re early. Thanks for trusting us with some of your attention.
Measures Taken exists so you don’t have to monitor every rumor, local report and institutional response yourself.
We follow unresolved situations that could matter to ordinary people: outbreaks, security disruptions and other crises. We pay particular attention to what institutions actually do, such as closing a hospital, canceling classes or changing border checks. Then we check whether the public explanation fits.
You’ll hear from us when the evidence materially changes what we think, what we’re watching or what you should do. We’ll say plainly when the answer is: nothing.
We’re building a short morning email around those changes. Expect what changed, why it might matter and whether you need to do anything. Some mornings won’t deserve an email. A threat diminishing, or a Watch closing without reader action, is a good outcome.
See the current Watches. Each has a public status, the evidence behind it and the changes that would make us more or less concerned.
Hit reply with a question, a local detail or something we should be watching. We read the replies.
Watch what they do. Check what they say.
