COME AND SEE MY SHOW :)
Hello everyone,
I’m going to keep it simple this week:
Please come to see my exhibition Ten Eighty which opens on May 1st. It would mean the world to me if you drop in for 5 minutes or 5 hours.
Where: 3553 Gallery, Collingwood
35-53 Emma St
May 1st: 5-6pm I’ll be in the gallery, 6-9pm is the official opening with drinks, etc. I’m saying some brief thanks at 7pm.
May 2nd: I’ll be in the gallery 11-5, with an artist talk at 2.30. The talk will be about confronting a sophmore project, some failures along the way and what I learned about my own work as I made this project.
May 3rd is a BIG DAY:
Come at 12PM to hear from a panel of experts about Dingoes - they are such interesting people, exploring one of Victoria’s least visited National Parks and monitoring a vanishing (and likely to go extinct) population of Dingoes.
Come at 1.30PM to MEET A DINGO IN PERSON. Kid friendly, and hosted by the Australian Dingo Foundation. If you’ve never been up close and personal this is a rare chance to hang out with a people-friendly Dingo to better understand them.
May 9th I’m closing the show and I’ll be in the gallery 11-5 with some cakes, maybe my daughter and would love to see anyone.
Exhibiting is all about getting folks to come and see things. It really means something because people are there. I’d genuinely be stoked to see you and any friends or family you want to bring.
In the next installment I want to reflect on my ambitions as an exhibiting artist and how this most recent exhibition goes.
