This coming Monday sees the beginning of a new film programme at Lumiere Cinemas here in Ōtautahi Christchurch. The films will be recent restorations of important films, essential to see on the big screen, but ones that have not made it yet to the cinemas here.

I’ve put together the programme and Nick Paris at Lumiere has worked hard at securing the films from the distributors.

Tickets are available now for two screenings of STALKER on 7th and 9th of Sept (still a few seats left for Monday and more available on the Wednesday).

These screenings will not require a subscription or membership and will remain open to the public, seats are likely to go quickly.

The next film will be announced at the Monday’s screening and we’re intending to make this a regular affair -one film per month -10 films per year (with a break in December and for NZIFF). Looking forward to seeing you there!
