Happy Sunday to our readers. It’s a rainy autumn day - the perfect opportunity to stay in, stay cosy, and read our monthly newsletter!

Easing back pain with Ciara’s Sports Therapy Massage.

Our wonderful Sports and Exercise Therapist, Ciara, has written some incredibly useful articles on the differences (and cross-overs) with Osteopaths, sports therapists and chiropractors – helping you to decide which treatment option is best for you. I’ll summarise them below, but will link you to each article for their full information.

“Exploring the Overlap: Sports Therapy vs Osteopathy”
This article unpacks how sports therapy and osteopathy are similar (both focused on musculoskeletal health, hands-on techniques, rehabilitation, and injury prevention) while highlighting key differences (osteopathy’s broader holistic scope, training, and treatment possibilities). It helps readers decide whether a more structural, whole-body approach (osteopathy) or a rehabilitation-focused path (sports therapy) might suit their condition best.

“Exploring the Overlap: Sports Therapy vs Chiropractic”

Ciara explains how sports therapy and chiropractic care overlap - both aim to relieve pain, restore movement, and improve function using hands-on techniques and movement assessment. However, it highlights key distinctions: chiropractic often emphasises spinal adjustments and joint alignment, whereas sports therapy more frequently combines soft-tissue work, mobilisations, therapeutic exercise, and rehabilitation plans.
