Ever since we published The Life of the Party Is Harder to Find Until You’re the Last One Around I have wanted another chance to publish a book by Adrian Sobol, firstly because he is a fun and wonderful writer, and secondly because that first book came out at the absolute worst time, aka 2020. I don’t even want to think about it.
Now I get my wish, though. Or in April anyway, five years after the release of Life of the Party, which is insane, can’t be possible. Anyway, Adrian’s second collection of poetry is Hair Shirt. Here’s the cover:

We are planning on printing up 300 copies of Hair Shirt with French flaps and a bonus poem printed on one of those flaps. These copies will be reserved for preorders and book club subscribers. We’ll get Adrian to sign a bunch of them, as well.

A little update on Project Malarkey: as of this writing we are about 25% of the way toward our goal of $11,500 to put toward printing up books and paying writers (not just our book writers, but also folks we publish in King Ludd’s Rag and on our website). The Project Malarkey fundraiser is all or nothing. If we make our goal, we’ll be able to cover the printing costs for the year and have something we’ve never had before, an extremely modest cushion. If we don’t make it, I don’t know; I don’t think we’ll have to shut down, but it will be tough. It will be tight. We’re offering some really nice rewards: a t-shirt, signed books, ebooks, zines, stickers. Also working on more (for instance, I’m going to get a quote on a tote).
