Hi! Viz

After literally years of working on this project, it’s finally live. There’s a lot to be said about the work that went into it all, so make sure to follow MVKB on Instagram or join the Discord server.

The full story can be found on the website, but here’s a short recap:

I’ve been trying to get this project live for the past 4 years. The idea was always simple: No accent keys or weird labels, just eye-scorching neon yellow with metallic labels.

After many (many) failed attempts with factories overseas, I picked GMK in Germany to be the production partner. Instead of calling it a day with that, we decided Hi! Viz would be the first set to use a completely new set of double shot legends called Neue. This definitely makes things more complex, but completes the vision I had for the set.

Neue legends are available to anyone in the community who wants to use them for their own set. You can learn all about the legends in this document I put together.

There are 3 parts to the project:

• A large set of Cherry-profile keycaps which will fit pretty much any keyboard out there.

• An artisan made out of 3 different machined parts, held together with 4 screws.

• A custom-shaped deskmat.

I could not possibly be more proud of this project. It’s been my white whale ever since I got started with mechanical keyboards and it feels amazing to finally see it live.

Production updates

• Event Horizon: First round of machining has finished, first round of coating nearing completion, bottoms are currently being machined, tops will get machined for the second time soon, packaging and PCB’s have been ordered. We were hoping to get the boards out in Q2 of this year, but it might be an extra couple of weeks due to delays with the packaging.

• T3RMINAL has finished production and will be shipping to vendors starting tomorrow.

• Expo is currently being packaged and will be shipped out mid next week.

• Synth is in stock at most vendors

• Banana mat is in stock at most vendors.
