Student Receives Outstanding Research Award
We are excited to share that Nadine Shetiah received the Outstanding Research Award at the 2026 Senior, Faculty, and Staff Awards hosted by Michigan State University.
Nadine has collaborated with mentor Prof. Ariel Cascio on ongoing autism and neurodiversity research centered on autistic adults’ lived experiences. Congratulations, Nadine!

BSJ at International Neuroethics Society
From April 14-18, Prof. Michelle Pham and student Qingxuan Pan attended the annual conference of the International Neuroethics Society at Stanford University in Palo Alto.
Professor Pham served as a panel speaker for the session, “Community-Engaged Collaborations in Neuroethics.” Prof. Pham and Qingxuan also presented a poster titled, “A Qualitative Study on the Role of IRBs in Implantable Neural Device Research.”

Recording Available: Shifting Strategies for Menopause Care
On April 13, Dr. Leanne Roberts examined how the management of menopause has changed over time. In addition, she showed how evolving approaches to menopause care have shaped treatment decisions and affected accessibility for marginalized communities.
