Water, water nowhere....

Hi, all.

It’s been hellish-ly hot here; we’re not used to this. I’ve had to water the garden every day, even though half of it is volunteer tomato plants which are unwelcome, considering I don’t grow or eat tomatoes. The pathetic rain forecasts crapped out on us - until today! I was at Jim’s, getting ready to chow down on a delicious fish taco from Snap Dragon, and suddenly clouds that were hovering over Mountain Air (a gated community on a ridge top west of Burnsville - remind me to tell you about the time I made a Mountain Air lover cry at a cocktail party when I told her how it got started) dropped into the valley between there and Jim’s ridge, and it RAINED! I took off my glasses, stepped out onto his front lawn, laid down and soaked it up until I actually got a bit chilled.

Now, I will say this: I do not do rain dances. I think it rained because not only did I knowingly leave the house for several hours with the sprinkler dousing the garden, but also leaving clothes hanging to dry on the washline. I did turn off the sprinkler when I got home, but I think I may leave the laundry on the solar-powered dryer the rest of the summer.

You’re welcome!

;)
