Revenge of the brain
It’s A Small World After All…
OK - got that one out of my brain. It got replaced by “Baby Beluga,” a children’s tune that helps my neighbors’ 5 month old boy zone out on car trips. That’s been my background music for close to a month now.
Today, another tune took top shelf in my brain. Maybe I should say “top pocket”. And, since I can’t really figure out why this is happening (my neurologist has me coming in for an EEG tomorrow; maybe that’ll help), I decided to ask Merriam-Webster the definition of sing-song. Here ‘tis:
noun
1: verse with marked and regular rhythm and rhyme
2: a voice delivery marked by a narrow range or monotonous pattern of pitch
adjective: having a monotonous cadence or rhythm
And there you have it. By some monstrous miracle (or disaster; not sure which yet), “Baby Beluga” has been replaced today by
“There’s something in my pocket. It belongs across my face. I keep it very close to me in a most convenient place!”
And while all you former Girl Scouts get THAT stuck in your brain, I’m off to take Fang to the vet.
Have fun,
Lucy
