Lubrikant Vol.13 - Moist Philosopher
Hello and welcome back to the regular readers. It’s been a couple of months since my last missive, and I’m pleased to report that I have a new instalment of the Lubrikate Your Living Room series to share, this time from S. Ruston, the talented Fold resident with whom I’ve developed a burgeoning friendship of late. They’ve gone the extra mile to produce a near 2-hour mix which is as sonically rich as it is emotionally affecting. I’m really proud of how the series is developing so far, and excited to hear what might be in store from future guests! It feels right to collaborate with people that I already have a friendship with, and whom I can trust to feel comfortable enough to fully express themselves.
There’s also a brand-new Netil Radio guest show of mine, which you can find a link to further down (including the full tracklist as ever). This time I was guesting on the Discoisdead show in absence of usual host, Mikey Dale. It’s possibly the first and last time you’ll hear a Bjorn Torske track mixed effortlessly into a classic Hot Chocolate number, and there’s plenty of brand new material that’s exciting me at the moment.

It’s an honour to welcome the super-talented Sophie to Lubrikate Your Living Room, and they have evidently gone the extra mile to curate a sonically rich and emotional journey for us. We were recently brought together by the passing of a dearly departed friend and fellow rave traveller, Peter Kirk (AKA The Outlaws) and the subsequent ‘megamorial’ that we threw in his honour. This past week, we travelled together en masse to the Birkenhead Day Of The Dead to lay a brick in the KLF’s People’s Pyramid in his honour. We’d like to dedicate this mix to his memory, and invite you to seek solace in the beautifully contemplative mood the mix evokes.
