Lubrikant vol.11 - Family Silver & The Golden Gun + Volte-Face @ Unfold
There’s been a real pile-up of my output lately, all with their own unique flavour. So I’ll briefly summarise what’s out there and available to listen without overegging the pudding.
FAMILY SILVER

Nick Stephens (Of The Gun infamy) and I have a new DJ partnership named Family Silver. The clue is in the title, but we’re choosing to combine our apposite skillsets for special occasions only. Field Maneuevers was one such occasion, with the Gun hosting a takeover of the legendary Sputnik stage this past Friday. Ransom Note interviewed us and shared the recording from our, even if I say so myself, incendiary opening set. LISTEN HERE

You can also listen to another recording of Nick & I playing b2b on The Gun’s last ever new year’s day event, via Field Maneuvers Mix Series. LISTEN HERE
VOLTE-FACE @ UNFOLD

I had the honour of opening the Fold main-room for the most recent instalment of their Unfold series. It was a true delight to play on such a fantastic system, and to such a receptive crowd. Although this was my first VF gig since 2019, I feel confident in asserting that my sound is a lot more confident and fluid these days. This set is perfect for a plane journey or a meditative hot bath (I can vouch for the latter!). LISTEN HERE
CASPER CLARK ‘ELECTROCLASH’ MIX FOR DISCOISDEAD, NETIL RADIO

Tiga’s DJ Kicks and American Gigolo mixes had a big impression on young me, and I was a big fan of everything related to DJ Hell’s Gigolo Records and the emergent electroclash sound. Much maligned these days, I chose to confront the notion that electroclash is somehow shallow or limited in range. It isn’t wall to wall hits, but it’s one of the most pumping and fun sets I’ve ever had the pleasure to mix. LISTEN HERE
Finally, watch this space for part 2 of my new Lubrikant mix series, this time from a special guest. It’s not going to be what any of you would expect, that’s for sure!
There’s also a forthcoming gig to look forward to, as the Gun crew decamp to The Golden Lion in Todmorden for an action-packed weekender. One look at the artwork by Personality Crisis himself should be enough to get you on that train! I hope to see some of you there.
