Introducing Lowered Techspectations
A newsletter helping you deal with working in tech.
If you’re reading this, you might work in the corporate world or more specifically, for a tech company. You might be frustrated with what’s going on around you. You might be the only one who sees the leadership’s brain dead decisions. You might imagine your own dramatic quitting-the-job scene, in slow-mo, with scattered papers falling around you as you depart the building, middle fingers raised. You might daydream about using your savings to start a goat farm, never mind that you do not know the first thing about goats or farming.
If any of that sounds familiar, you’re in the right place.
Lowered Techspectations is a new series of comics and an advice column collected into a bi-weekly email newsletter plus printed as zines. The comic follows the haphazard business dealings of Strategent, a tech company with big dreams and uninspiring output. Our anonymous columnist doles out corporate life advice plus a healthy dose of humor in the Ask Zen Paycheck column. We’re excited to share it with you.
Our first comic features two new hires, Flora and Liz, who you’ll get to know in the coming weeks.

Next week: meet Zen Paycheck and read their advice for job seekers.
