Hello!
Do you remember April, when we ran a whole trans theater festival? That was wild, right? Loved it. We hosted 30 shows and were able to pay over $20,000 to trans artists/creators/performers for their work. The Joy Who Lived will ride again next year! (currently we are running some classes in LA, so if you want to do improv with other trans folks, join us!)
I’ve also kicked off my new adventure, which is starting a non-profit to manage the festival and other trans art events. Trans Stories - expect to hear from us!
I am in the midst of a huge crowdfunding campaign at my day job funding free educational videos for teachers right now, which is going very well! It needs to go well, too—I don’t know if you’ve heard, but free education, along with many other wonderful things, has been threatened quite a bit recently.
On a personal note, I saw my favorite band They Might Be Giants play last weekend, and this weekend Maddox (who is in a play this friday!) and I went to a wedding, which involved me wearing a newly-tailored suit! I felt very fancy indeed.
Overall I am far too busy with many exciting things, including training to become a CASA, producing a play, and planning my wedding. But let’s not forget the upcoming shows!

LOS ANGELES — Pride month is a busy one if you’re a queer in entertainment (like me!) and I’m kicking it off strong with an all-trans musical improv set on June 4 with some absolute geniuses. No tickets, just show up to the Clubhouse at 8!
LOS ANGELES AND LIVE-STREAMING/Video on-demand — I am producing a father’s day show on June 15 with the incredible Katie Marovitch and Erika Ishii. We have some ridiculous plans. This show is very near selling out, so either get a ticket now or don’t you date tell me “you missed it!” … join us!
NORTH HOLLYWOOD — For a year, I’ve been producing a monthly show in North Hollywood called “The Best Musical Improv in the Valley.” We’ve finally graduated from the back room of a brewery to a real venue, so join us June 22 for our first show at the Sherry Theater!
