i am going to destroy her
I knew it was coming, but here we are—for five months, the Harry Potter play is playing right in the middle of Hollywood. And people are going, and they're going to advertise it everywhere, and that's just what is happening.

I love fantasy. I love magic. I truly do. But JK Rowling has said some stuff about the trans community that I really disagree with. Things that have been quoted in legislatures. Things that have been repeated to me and my friends. She wrote Harry Potter, and now when I see things related to Harry Potter, I am sad.
Especially because we are seeing our rights stripped away and it’s happening so fast. I don’t like it. I DON’T! I don’t like to think about it because then I get THE DOOM!
The Plan
But I have always been a person who takes my bad feelings and turns them into action, so I present you with: THE JOY WHO LIVED, a trans performing arts festival in Los Angeles (and streaming! online!), running from Trans Day of Visibility (March 31) through April 14.
This festival will be a celebration of plays (like the Harry Potter play, but you know, by and starring trans folks). There will be comedy, there will be music. There will be 16+ events from different trans artists - some of whom you have heard of, some you haven’t. If you go to the Harry Potter play, you're welcome to come. If you don't, you're welcome to come, and it will be cheaper for you.
Right now… you can pre-save the kickstarter for this project. Please do that. Please pre-save the kickstarter for this project. Please. Go to this link and press “notify me on launch. Please?
