This, and This, and This
Hi friends,
I spent last weekend in Chatham, New York (my dad’s hometown!) with a couple of writer pals, on a little self-directed writer’s retreat. While there, I created a book club discussion guide for Ordinary Devotion, which you can access here. I know of one book club currently reading Ordinary Devotion, as well as one that is planning on reading it.
If your book club is interested in reading Ordinary Devotion, let me know, as I can get you discounted copies through my publisher!
On my writing retreat, I also managed to write 3,000 words of a new novel, but I am too superstitious to say anything more about that (other than, don’t hold your breath, it won’t be finished for a looooong time).
While I let this new book marinate, I’m available for editorial work. If you didn’t know, I’ve been working as a freelance editor for over a decade now. I do intensive, structural editing, as well as copyediting and proofreading. I’ve worked on fiction (including this and this), nonfiction (such as this, this, and this), and poetry (like this). If you know of anyone looking for an editor, please let them know they can contact me (kristenholtbrowning@gmail.com).
And if you ever find yourself in Chatham, I highly recommend The Chatham Bookstore, right on Main Street. It’s got that almost-overstuffed-but-not-too-overwhelming vibe that I consider ideal in a bookstore.
Be well, my friends,
Kristen
