Join Me in High Falls Next Week!
Last Friday, I attended an excellent event at Blue Heron Books in High Falls, New York, featuring author Mark Hussey on Virginia Woolf (happy 100th birthday Mrs. Dalloway!). It’s a lovely space and I urge you to check it out… perhaps next Thursday, August 7, at 6pm? I’ll be at Blue Heron then, in conversation with friend and fellow local writer Elizabeth Cunningham, whose fiction, like mine, explores women in history, especially in her fantastic quartet of Mary Magdalene novels, The Maeve Chronicles.
Her latest novel, Over the Edge of the World, employs myth and fairytale rather than history, but like her earlier work, it’s a gorgeous exploration of bravery, faith, justice, and hope.
