It's publication day and nothing else important is happening today
Friends,
First: if you haven’t already, vote today, please.
After that, if you’d like a distraction from the anxious prognostication/nail biting/waiting for the polls to close and the results to start rolling in, might I suggest curling up for a couple quiet hours with Ordinary Devotion? Just a suggestion!
Given that I voted early a few days ago, today I’m going out to lunch with my kids (shout-out to Tanjore Cuisine of India!) and sign copies of my book at Split Rock Books.
If you choose to read Ordinary Devotion and feel moved to do so, a review on Amazon or Goodreads would be very much appreciated!
And if you’re a local yokel, please consider joining me at Stanza Books this Saturday, November 9, at 8pm. May we have some good electoral news to celebrate by then as well…
Thanks, friends!
Kristen
PS. This past weekend, my wonderful mom hosted a congratulatory dinner for me at her house, along with my brother Jeff, my niece Kadi, and my Uncle Jim and Aunt Rose, as well as Sam and Alex and Elliot, of course. We ate lasagna and they gave me flowers! Thank you, Mom, you’re the best!
