Skip Month
Hey everyone,
I just realized that I should have sent a newsletter over the weekend, but it’s been a hectic month, so this one’s going to be quick and there’s not a bell or whistle in sight.
Stuff I’m Working On
The text of the Q3E SRD is completed and currently being edited. Hoping to get it live within the next couple of weeks.
My Name Is Hood is moving along, but I’ll be cutting it very close to get it released before August is over.
I got a new computer, which is where a lot of my time went over the last two weeks. I hadn’t planned on how long the migration (which is still in the “not pretty, but good enough to get back to work”) stage. Unlike my last one, this is a monster geared for graphics work, so I’m looking forward to firing up the DAZ engine once everything’s back up and running.
Media
Finished 1984, but haven’t had time to read much else.
Poker Face is just as good as you’d expect a show created by Rian Johnson and starring Natasha Lyonne to be. Lots of great guest stars, too.
New season of Resident Alien is as fun as the previous seasons of Resident Alien.
Death of a Unicorn is a very entertaining dark comedy, and it’s always great to see Richard E Grant just Richard E Granting all over the place.
Final Destination: Bloodlines is a great addition to the franchise, and I loved that Tony Todd basically got a chance to say goodbye to his fans in his final movie.
I watched a post-apocalyptic fantasy movie called into In the Lost Lands. It wasn’t great and felt a lot like a video game, but it stars Dave Batista and Mila Jovovich and it’s never not fun watching them kick ass.
Twisted Metal is better than it has any right to be. You’ve got Anthony Mackie doing a better Will Smith character than Will Smith’s done in years, Stephanie Beatrice, Thomas Haden Church, and Will Arnett as the voice of an evil clown.
See, I told you this one would be quick.
TYTYVM,
Steve
