Overcoached grows up
Achievement unlocked…what?
Earlier at Music Minus None…
When I started writing Overcoached, I made up some numbers in my head. I had a number for how many people might read what I wrote. I had a number for how many people subscribed. And I had a number for how much money people might pledge to support my writing. All of these numbers were made up and not really based on anything (this is in general how I deal with money due to my collaborative pianist training - yes, there‘s a post about that on the way). They provided a weird, scared little framework in my mind for how I might proceed in case there was an audience out there for what I wrote.
Last night I made an excited social media post when my latest essay cleared one of my made-up numbers. This morning I woke up to see that number left in the dust. And my other made-up numbers also got surpassed somewhere in the night.
Wow. Y‘all. Thank you. That‘s so gratifying to me as a writer, but you‘ve also spoken clearly about the content you‘re looking for. The engagement with this post is the game-changer. I hear you. There‘s more like it on the way.
This here lil‘ post is just to let you know that I‘ll soon be taking a new step with Overcoached: turning on paid subscriptions.
You will still be able to read Overcoached for free! I‘m not going to sequester any content. If you want to support this platform with money, please consider doing so. Or don‘t! It‘s all good with me either way.
I will keep doing my best to write about our big, complex, unfair, beautiful business from what I know and what I‘m learning. All of it is inspired by all of you, out there trying hard and making beauty in the world as best you can.
Love,
Kathy
