Revisiting Some of My Greatest Hits
anchors for the busy season
Quick Announcements
My incredibly talented virtual assistant, Sabrina recently released a hybrid Virtual Assistant and Online Business Manager offering. I’ve been working with Sabrina since 2022 and she never ceases to amaze me with her skills and creativity! If you’re looking for extra support with your small business, I honestly can’t speak more highly of her.
My books are open for 1-hour Productivity and Strategy Calls!
I’m developing a waitlist of folks who would like to do 6-month packages of Success & Accountability Coaching in late 2025 or early 2026. I’m especially interested in working with clients who are finishing dissertations, navigating pre-tenure research/teaching/service responsibilities, or who are working on book projects inside and outside of academia. You can read testimonials from previous clients here.

It happened quicker than ever: the semester is beginning and we’ll soon be swapping our swim suits for cardigans. Maybe you’re like me and you’re itching to buy a fancy notebook or develop a new routine that will infuse your days with calmness and clarity.
While the hinge between a season can be an exciting opportunity to hit the reset button on our projects, we might also find ourselves teetering on overwhelm, dread, or nervousness. So, I’d like to reshare some of my productivity tool “greatest hits” to help you feel prepared and grounded for the weeks ahead.
No time to waste—let’s get to it!

Curiosities
In line with today’s theme of lists, I have a special treat to share with you. The other day Kris and I were trying to come up with the name for a cat in a video game and we pulled out the long list of potential dog names we developed when we were preparing to adopt Friday in 2024.
Without further adieu, here’s the list of names Friday almost had: Go-Go, Rosie, Potato, Arthur, Shepherd, Laura Dern, Chips, Cuno, Disco, Rizzo, Fizz, Legume, Olive, Carol, Pierogi, Friday (obviously this one was the winner), Guppie, Shoe, Flower, Dollop, Ravioli, Baby Spinach, Stromboli, Dr. Pepper, and Fable. By the time we went to meet our 7.3-pound princess, we were torn between Friday and Fable, but when we finally met her she definitely had FRIDAY energy!
Friday and I both hope you good care during the busy season and I’ll talk to you soon.
