I’m excited to introduce you to today’s guest on Honing In, Dr. Eric Darnell Pritchard.

The amazing title for today’s episode comes directly from Dr. Pritchard’s bio, where they describe themself as a Black queer feminist alchemist.

I first became familiar with Dr. Pritchard’s work in graduate school and was lucky enough to learn from them at a queer archive seminar through the Rhetoric Society of America. It is such a joy to now bring them onto the podcast to chat about biographical labors of love, understanding our work through macro and micro lenses, and Dr. Pritchard’s dedication to art and community literacy.

Whether or not you’re a creative writer or researcher yourself, I think you’ll be fascinated by the many expressions through which Dr. Prichard shares about Black queer life, culture, picture books, biographies, classrooms, community literacy, and more!

I hope you’ll check out this rich intervie on my website or your favorite podcast app.

Take care and talk soon,

Dr. Kate
