A Week in the Life of Dr. Kate
how I make time for my business and myself

Today’s letter is a special behind-the-scenes look at a week in my life as a small business owner, independent scholar, and person who lives with chronic illness. While each of my weeks looks slightly different, I noticed three patterns in my routines and rhythms when I scanned over my schedule:
I’m much more likely to show up for self-care practices when I schedule them into time blocks with another person (yoga, therapy, phone calls with loved ones).
I batch client calls based on my energy levels so I can show up with curiosity and compassion.
I function best when I leave errands and housework until the weekend.
