Failure and Moving Forward
Today’s newsletter is sadly not a happy one, but it is also not the end of things either.
As you’re probably already aware, we did not meet the funding goal of $3000 for Across Amastica on Kickstarter. While this is disappointing, I did plan for this contingency and I wanted to share the steps going forward.
Across Amastica
Fortunately the work for Across Amastica is finished and the book will be releasing globally on October 22nd. If you want to preorder a copy you can do so in both print and digital editions wherever books are sold, but I recommend going to bookshop.org to help support your local bookstores. You can pre-order it now!
Project III
The next book, the mysterious Project III, is a collection of seven short stories which have nothing to do with Silas or Bundersnoot but are hopefully just as delightful for all of you to read. It’s also at about 52,000 words so a respectable 190ish pages in print-length.
This book has not been edited yet and we currently don’t have the funds to edit the book or produce cover art. My hope is to prepare a Kickstarter sometime in the near future to at least raise the money so I can get it into the production pipeline. Keep following for more info to come.
Grimoire Exhibition & Market
My next vending event that I have lined up will be at the Grimoire Exhibition & Market on Saturday, 9 November at the Dayton Convention Center in Dayton, Ohio. In addition to myself, there will be plenty of other witchy, magical, and paranormal vendors at the event to meet all your witchy needs. (My spouse is definitely interested.) Right now tickets are just $17 and the price is probably going to go up as the event draws nearer so get your ticket today.
Rate my Familiar
So technically we have a familiar and we don’t this week. We do in that lovely sheep lady Rachel sent us another one of her sheep for Bundersnoot to review. We don’t in that I am too emotionally exhausted right now. Rest assured we will be looking at the lovely sheep next week but I just need a bit of a breather right now.
If you have a familiar you’d like Bundersnoot to rate, send a picture and short description to familiars@thekalpar.com
