Cover Reveal!
Hello, everyone! We have exciting news for today: the cover art is finished! Which means all of the files have now been sent to the printer and I should be receiving proofs within a couple of days. As of right now I am hoping for a release date of 24 June for Ephemera. Stay tuned for more news about possible book launch parties and other exciting Kalpar-related events. But before we get to the cover, let’s go over some other news first.
Mushroom Adoption Service

As you can see, I’ve been hard at work for the Mushroom Adoption Service raising mushrooms to be adopted as familiars for witches everywhere. I’m hoping to make a terrarium for these guys to bring along to events. If I do, I’ll make sure to let you all know.
Rate My Familiar
This week we’ve got a submission from crazy cat lady Allison (her words). This submission is Muffin, daughter of local feral cat Isabella. Allison was determined to rescue Muffin as well as her siblings Toast and Waffles and managed to secure them.
Some rescue! Poor Muffin broke her neck! This is cruelty to kitties I tell you!
Bundersnoot, that’s hardly Allison’s fault. Muffin was scared and hurt herself on accident by running around.
Well she should have forseen such an eventuality. And she calls herself a cat lady! Anyway, despite this ill-advised rescue attempt Allison added insult to injury by taking poor Muffin to the vet where that cruel huckster put her in a cast! A cast! For five whole weeks!
Yes, but Muffin got better.
I still say that’s no thanks to Allison or that so-called veterinarian. It’s clearly all due to Muffin’s own natural healing abilities. I give brave little Muffin a score of 10/10.

All right, having made you work for it, here’s what you’ve all been waiting for, the cover.

Your friend in books and trains,
