Bourbon City and Other Details
Hello kind friends, just a quick reminder that I’m alive and things are continuing to happen here at Ironhammer Publishing (the legal name for the commpany because it sounds RAD!) A lot of my energyy has been preparing from Bourbon Cit this upcoming weekend. I’ll have some packing to do Wednesday and Thursday, but I think we’re in very good shape.

In addition to vending at Bourbon City I’ll have three panels: So you Want to Self-Publish on Friday March 14th at 3:00 PM, Have You Ever Been Badgered? on Saturday March 15th at 1:00 PM, and Another Shirt Ruined on Sunday March 16th at 2:00 PM. All of these will be in the Lord Byron room, no I don’t know why I got assigned to Lord Byron. Anyway, if you’re attending Bourbon City Steam be sure to stop by and say hi.
Hey, Where’s That Book You Promised?
Aha! Thought you had me, didn’t you? Well smarty-pants of unknown-gender I’ll have you know that the insides of the book are, in fact, finished! And AND I actually have engaged a cover artist to work on the cover art for Ephemera. It should be finished by the middle of April at which point I can start getting files to the publisher. I don’t want to promise an exact date yet, but summer 2025 is looking very good.
What Next?
Aside from planning for other events (Gothic Market in July and Key City Steampunk in August) I’ve been kicking around ideas for the next book project. As of right now I’ve got a couple nebulous down-the-line ideas, and two more solid ideas that I started working on. The first is additional Silas & Bundersnoot (& Waif) stories which would form a third book. I’ve written two stories, both which definitely need rewrites, but I’ve got some ideas for another 50,000 ish word book.
However I’ve also been having a lot of fun playing around with some characters which you’re going to meet in Ephemera, the Learned of Aelelea. They’re in two stories in Ephemera and I’ve got a third very short story with them and I started working on a fourth.
So my question for you, my dear and loyal readers is: What would you like to see first? More Silas & Bundersnoot or something new and different? Send me a reply and let me know what you think.
