KFZ Presents: God's Medicine

A while back, I roped one of my frequent collaborators into what I thought was going to be a straightforward KFZ letter. A long one, sure, but I’ve sent extremely long letters before.

Of course, things didn’t go exactly as planned, in good and bad ways, for this project, for other projects, at work, and in the world. And slowly but surely, that “routine letter” started to take on a life of its own.

I have always figured that KFZ would eventually be part of some sort of larger ecosystem, either by releasing spores from KFZ itself or placing KFZ as one of other projects under a new umbrella, or both.

But my last five years have been difficult and short on so much of what a person needs to actually get things out in the world. I had to put my ambition to bed for a while because it needed sustenance I didn’t have.

Well, in the end, not much is better but I found myself accidentally at the plate. The game had begun and I was in uniform. And so I went to my collaborator, signed her on a supermax contract, and we picked up our bats to swing.

Today, I’m incredibly excited to present Phase 1 of the first* spore:

A KFZ subscriber bonus is that God’s Medicine will be doing a mailbag in mid-July with a soft launch of Phase 2, and we will be soliciting questions exclusively from denizens of the Zone.

I also want to highlight details of our KFZ fantasy team: we hope to see you there even if you don’t have a clue what you’re doing. The more the merrier!

And don’t worry –– I have more of the weird, experimental KFZ you know and love in the pipeline, I promise. It’s coming, just not immediately.

*And yes, another one that I’m very, very, VERY excited about is in the works.
