Weaving food, place, and creativity together in a relaxed, supportive space
I’m scheming up something super special, and I need your help.
For years, I’ve been planning a dream retreat I want to lead: Part writing workshop, part private writing/creative residency/dreaming space, and part culinary adventure.
The goal is to explore our relationship to place through food and creativity: While also taking tangible, real steps to both learn new culinary skills and to build a consistent writing practice that will serve each of us long after the workshop is done.
It’s part hands-on culinary work, part writing retreat, and part exploring place through visiting local producers and wandering nature (we’re still finalizing a location in Europe, and I welcome your suggestions!)
I’ve found folks interested in co-hosting it with me, but now we need your help: they’ll only co-host with me if enough folks say they’re interested to make it worth their while.
That means I need as many people as possible to fill out this (very brief) form telling them you like the idea of writing, eating, and cooking with me.
Even if you aren’t sure you could attend (we’re still finalizing location and dates, so I don’t expect you to be a 100% yes!), if just the idea of deepening into your relationship to place, food, and creativity sounds at all appealing, please fill it out anyway so we can show my friends at Aweventurer that this will be a worthwhile project for them to throw their weight behind.
Filling out the form does two things: One, it shows that there’s enough interest for the retreat to happen, and two, it makes it so when it does, you can hear about it quickly and join us if it aligns with your schedule and budget.
I’m always thinking of new ways to support and serve the folks around me, and I hope this to be the first of many retreats where I bring together fellow creatives to get curious, have fun, make progress on our work, and most of all to lean into the pleasure and trust in ourselves that comes with making really wildly wonderful creative work, and living a creative life, around other supportive folks.
