Saturday Summary 02/10/2021
Good morning, and happy October!
I've been feeling absolutely great the past few weeks, and the plan is to dig into a few essay topics, to maybe work on some spooky shorts as we come up to the end of October, and also to keep on my DS9 kick and writing some fanfic on the side too!
I've been looking at my calendar, and I'm hoping to go to some events in and around Bristol and Cardiff in the next few months - if anyone has any recommendations for art and culture events coming up, definitely feel free to send me recs, especially for comic and sci-fi and fantasy events.
Just a note that alongside my main Twitter, JohannesTEvans, I've also set up a side account called DarkFicJohannes where I'll be posting a lot more erotica with darker themes, including harder kinks and consent issues. I'm planning to dig into writing this sort of content a bit more often, including in writing TweetFic on DarkFicJohannes, and also writing full prose but please note that I won't be posting it on Patreon or Medium - the plan is to publish this stuff on Ao3, with some of it being fanfic, and other stuff just being original!
If I do any bigger stuff or serials, it'll appear in eBook collections down the line, but it will initially be published on Ao3. DarkFicJohannes isn't a separate account because I feel any shame about writing rape fantasy or more extreme kink, but to ensure people are definitely certain as to what they're clicking when they move to follow, and obviously everything on Ao3 will be suitably and specifically tagged!
People should always heed content warnings on any of my work, but for a significant while I've been talking a lot about the benefits and commonality of rape fantasy, reclaiming bodily autonomy and working through dysphoria via eroticised kink, and similar things over the past year, but not actually writing much on those subjects, so I just want to do more of that!
