Birthday Boy Takes Some Leave

Good evening!

You might have noticed I've been a little thin on the ground on social media this week - I am currently visiting boyfriends and trying to get some home stuff in order, but also it's my birthday on the 30th! Because I'm trying to rest a bit, I'm not expecting to be publishing much - if anything - this week as I take some holiday, but I'll be back to regular programming once we come back into June.

First things first, I just wanted to thank everybody who came along to the Galway Pride Pub Quiz Fundraiser at Massimo's on Wednesday - between pub quiz table sales, raffle tickets, badges and flags, and general donations, we raised a grand total of €1175 toward Galway Pride!

Thank you so so much to everybody who came along and everyone who donated or bought extra stuff, and congrats to all our winners!

Galway Pride Festival this year is going to be the week beginning August 7th, with the parade march on August 12th, so get ready for the gays.

Also this week, I released Gerald Poole and the Pirates as a paperback!

Gerald Poole and the Pirates is a 40k word novella, and it's light-hearted, comedic, and more than a bit silly.

Gerald Poole, a young Englishman, is miserable when he is dispatched abroad aboard a naval vessel, and is reluctantly attended to by the cold and put-upon Lieutenant Jack Wicks - this tense relationship is interrupted and put under pressure when the two are kidnapped by pirates.

A novella with a little bit of adventure, M/M/M romance, and queerness in the 18th century Mediterranean!

The paperback is $6.99 - if you're planning on coming along to BristolCon this year, I'll be selling paperbacks of Gerald Poole and Heart of Stone, and I can sign those as desired, as well as the new badge collection and possibly some other merchandise such as bookmarks and T-shirts. If you want to buy a copy now and bring it along for me to sign, or if you already have a copy of Heart of Stone, that's obviously completely fine too!

As well as the paperback release, there's some Gerald Poole and the Pirates character designs available on TeePublic. Here are the stickers for Captain Thwaites, Jack Wicks, and of course, Gerald Poole himself:

a white sticker with black text and image. the image is a sketch of a rabbit, and the text reads, "Percy," said Gerald, as if butter wouldn't melt. "I only set traps for rabbits."a white sticker with black text and image. Under a sketch of an anatomical heart, the text reads, "All desires are curious in the eyes of other men," said Jack. "It's the nature of the thing."a white sticker with black text and image. under a sketch of a great white shark, the text reads, "Thwaites chuckled regretfully, reaching down and idly brushing his fingers over the scarred flesh. "I'd do it again," he said. "She was quite gentle, really."New Works Published
