I came across this briliant, brutal book about the harrowing, true-life story of 26 men who attempted to cross the border into Arizona, and it planted the seed of what would become DEAD MONEY, coming soon to Kickstarter.
WHAT IS DEAD MONEY?
Dead Money is a horror comic set in the harsh Arizona Territory of the American Southwest, shortly after the Civil War. It follows an unlikely grouping of aristocrats, lawmen, swindlers and sinners, as they ride a train out west to find their fortunes or escape their pasts.
A devastating accident strands them in the barren wilderness, forcing them to trek across the sun-blasted Arizona desert to seek salvation. Can they overcome their secrets, fears, and prejudices to survive not only the deadly landscape but an unimaginable cosmic horror lurking under the scorching sand?
WHAT IS THIS KICKSTARTER for ISSUE #1?
Dead Money issue #1 is 22 pages of black-and-white drama, scripted by award-winning game writers Jesse Scoble & Devinder Thiara, and illustrated by veteran comics artist Tomás Aira. It’s the first of eight planned issues.
