Sixteen Days To Go! Studio Here We Come!
With 16 days to go before recording it's time for an update on my 2025 folk release, "I'll Be Right Here, Too!”
The project is only 25% funded on Kickstarter but I remain hopeful. I’m close enough that I could “buy it out” and still come out okay.
Please, if you’re sitting on the fence, take another look. Your help would mean so much to me, and to the musicians helping me make this album a reality.
The music is taking its final form. I’ve written four- and five-part harmony for the vocal tracks, and heard them sung! This is seriously my favorite part so far. The band knows the material cold, and we’re only scheduled to meet one more time before recording day.

I’ve been through a number of tech rehearsals at home with my little retro studio, and now know where to focus to make it shine. It helps that I genuinely love this music.
Performance is everything – arranging the song in a key and range that gives me the elbow room to bring emotion and improvisation into the recording, to make every take feel live.
It would be cliché if it weren’t so true, I am so excited about this album. It is hands-down the most ambitious art project I’ve ever done.
I’m proud of the work I’ve already done, and I’m so looking forward to letting it bring something beautiful into your lives, too.
Heave-to for a while, when the winds are strong
A new course we’ll set, when the sky clears ‘fore long
Reef your sails or not, when the winds are fair,
As long as I can see the sky, I’ll always be somewhere!
Oh, we are sailing,
On an ocean of love!
Love, light, and resistance, and resilience,
—Jen
