new email provider; 2024 summer concert season forming up!
Hello friends and neighbors!
It’s been a few months since I’ve put one of these out, and what a winter it’s been. A bunch of new music, new friends, new stories. I have a few events already on my calendar this summer, but read on for fun and exciting possibilities you can help make happen. I’m excited to sing with you soon!

Collaborations!
I’m honored to be singing in a chorus for a video with Venus de Mars. I’m very excited to collaborate with her — she’s a brilliant artist. Check out some of her works at YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCppcdywjFqbpBTgTODTNlFA
By-and-For Trans-and-Nonbinary Community Song Circle
In a separate project, I continue to co-facilitate this beautiful community song circle with Doe Hoyer and Lux Knudsen Cowles. Please reach out to me directly if you’d like to be added to that list.
New Music!
New music you may not have heard is up on my BandCamp page.
I entered the NPR TinyDesk concert this winter, so far have not been mentioned in anything resembling a short list, but you can watch my video on YouTube: https://youtu.be/RtjwKZcijZw
Tech Notes
I’m planning to move from BandCamp to FairCamp in the next six months or so, in solidarity with the workers displaced by BandCamp’s new union-busting owners. Stay tuned for more info in a future newsletter.
I ditched MailChimp so this email is being sent via a slightly less giant data-crunching entity, “buttondown.”
The End… and A Poem
You’ve made it all the way to the end! Thanks for hanging in there with me. Here’s a little poem from my notebook:
the light switch
Sometimes, when I’m tightening a screw
On a light switch wall-plate that’s worked itself loose
Over the course of a month or two,
I offer a silent apology
To the ghost that worked so hard
To loosen it.
Love, light, and song
