Jen Wood's Folk Update: New Album!!!
In this issue:
greetings!
new music!
release party!
gratitude and parting words
Happy May Day!
Even as I write I hear the May Day Parade roll down Bloomington Avenue — the blare of the battle-train, the roar of the crowds. And still outside my window I hear the white-throated sparrows sweetly practice their gentle calls, as they rest in my alley, on their journey to their nesting grounds in the boundary waters and parts thereby.
In a little while I will make my way to the ceremony site, to join the crowd welcoming the Sun as it makes its way across the lake.
However you celebrate, I wish you all the joy of Spring.
New Music!
My brand new album, “I’ll Be Right Here, Too”is officially out!
Fourteen songs expressing the wonder and wisdom of human resilience.
…an astonishing debut album that simply teaches us how to be.

I am so incredibly happy with how this came together. Buckets of gratitude to the dozens of people who made it happen — too many to list here, full credits in the liner notes on whatever platform you find them.
Release Party and Concert!
July 26, 7-10PM, 3915 Snelling Ave, Minneapolis
$15.00 or FREE for you and a guest with purchase of the album.
I’ll be singing much of the album, with the help of Willow Waters on bass, Jamey Sharp on mandolin, and members of the Right Here Too Chorus — and hopefully… with you!
Refreshments (free) and some sweet mementos (merch table) will be available. I may even have some cassette tapes for you to take home!
This is an alcohol and smoke-free event. Masks are encouraged.
Thank you!
It is almost time for me to join the festivities in the park (with limited energy, I had to choose parade or ceremony).
Thank you for subscribing, and for reading all the way to the end.
Please, spread the word, invite all your friends, forward this email.
I leave you with these wise words from Loren Eiseley.
…There is a time to skip. On country roads in the spring. It is not necessary that there be girls. You will skip without them. You will skip because something within you knows the time—frog time. Then you will skip.”
Love, light, Sun, and music!
