I'm still here -- Birthday Sail 8/17!

Hello dear friends — it’s been a while…

I’ve been spending the last few months writing new music, and getting to know my neighbors in that special way that only surviving an armed occupation together can bring about.

I don’t have any major music news, no shows booked, nor music released. I’m taking the summer to rest and reset.

One More Time Around The Sun

Come sail with me, Monday August 17! I’ll be out from noon to dark — drop in for a ride and a visit!

music biz…

I’m going into recording mode in September, and maybe I’ll book a show or two in the fall if the stars align.

If you’re a musician, a venue promoter, or just someone with gumption putting together a folk show, drop me a line, I’m a great opener or closing act!

thanks

This month I’m going to close on a more somber note. Instead of a poem, I leave you with a short Singing Resistance song I wrote this February, “I Grieve.” (click to download to your device)

I grieve
For today
I grieve

I grieve
For today
I grieve

Has the world ever been
Free from suffering
And will I
Will I
Will I

It’s a “zipper” song, meaning whatever is on your heart which you grieve, sing that instead of “today.” I myself have sung for lost family, for Palestine, and for each person I am able to name who has been murdered or brutalized or kidnapped by by ICE.

Love, light, and music

—Jen
