Thoughts on the Artemis Launch

Alas, I missed the launch proper, I was busy riding. But I did get to listen to quite a bit of the stream.

The SLS is among the largest rockets in the world and one of the most powerful, substantially more powerful than Saturn V. It’s purpose designed for the Artemis program, to launch the Orion spacecraft to the Moon.

Straight to the Moon. One launch.

Starship is larger, but the SLS has now been proven. It works.

We have (or hopefully had, by the time this queues – they should be back on Earth) four astronauts in space.
