The Beauty of Indigenous Fantasy

I’m reading through the Nebula finalists right now and have landed on Moniquill Blackgoose’s To Shape a Dragon’s Breath.
This is an alternate history fantasy written from her perspective as a member of the Seaconke Wampanoag Tribe, an unrecognized group in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. I’m looking forward to finding out more about her people through the vehicle of this book. (Update: It’s also incredibly, delightfully queer).
Indigenous fantasy is a growing field right now, although it’s still way below where it should be.
