Sometimes, you just go down a rabbithole. And sometimes you get pushed down one…which is how I ended up knowing, somehow for the first time, the story of Pulgasari.

Because oh man, what a story. The movie itself isn’t nearly as fascinating as the circumstances that led to its existence.
