Queer Visions: What is a Queernorm World?

If you read my reviews you might stumble across the phrase “queernorm world.” If you aren’t caught up on queer SF/F, you might not know quite what that means.
I can give examples, but I can also give the basic definition:
A queernorm world or queer-normative world is a world in which there is, and often never has been, any homophobia or transphobia. It’s a world completely without discrimination. It’s a world in which people don’t come out, because your sexuality doesn’t matter.
Some examples of queernorm worlds include Everina Maxwell’s Winter’s Orbit, Becky Chambers’ Monk and Robot series (or anything I’ve read by Becky Chambers), and Nghi Vo’s The Empress of Salt and Fortune.
