I’ve had a few things said to me on social media that stick with me. Some of them are particularly entertaining insults.

One such is the person who said “It’s irresponsible to peddle hope.”

The context was that they were saying “We’re all going to get long COVID and be permanently disabled” and I was pointing out that that doesn’t match reality. (I was not saying not to take precautions against catching COVID).

Doomerism is a very real thing, and when somebody is in full doomer mode, they stop wanting you to peddle hope.
